From Payment Claims to Disputes
We are well versed in the preparation of interim progress claims, final accounts, subcontractor payment valuations and contractual claim quantum preparation. We have a successful track record in the preparation of adjudication submissions for major contractors and adjudication defence against large international entities.
COVID-19 disruption claims, general head contract dispute escalation and resolution
Heavily engaged in Arbitration preparation across multiple Billion Dollar Sucontractor packages on an LNG mega-project. Innovative solutions to solve complex problems involving hundreds of thousands of records and creating audience-focused interactive summaries to communicate complicated claims and opportunities.
Engaged by the Main Contractor on a landmark rail project to connect Australia's Metro and Remote areas. This substantial project was aimed at strengthening NSW's rural industries. Quantity Surveyors were engaged to assist in verification of scope and extensive on-site remeasure works.
Numerous Successful adjudication submissions.
Engaged by the International Main Contractor on the Hallmark Light Rail Project in Sydney's CBD to work as part of the team preparing the financial submissions for $500m of outstanding claims. Included playing a crucial role in the submission of 3 successful upstream adjudication submissions under the Security of Payment Act in NSW.
Engaged by the Main Contractor for the construction of a Prestigious Hospital in the later stages of production. Activities involved assessment of a Technology SubContractor account which had seen a myriad of contractual complications see $400m of claims submitted against our Client on the $40m contract including a number of adjudication submissions under the Construction Contracts Act (CCA). This role matured into managing an upstream claims team to produce a complex $50m Contractual claim which had gone unresolved for a period of 5 years.
Employed by a Top Tier Civils Contractor to ensure the accurate capture and classification of daily in and out of scope works. This was pivotal in providing some real performance metrics to validate and critique estimation practices as well as provide accurate data for future package estimates which is invaluable to any contractor's future performance. Provided assistance in final cost forecasts.
Employed on a multi Billion dollar LNG Gas processing plant to re-meausre E&I Scope of Works. This included implementation of an effective means to analyse currently claimed works, identify variation scopes of works and undertake on-site validation of the works. This resulted in the ensuring accuracy of schedule forecasting which was of critical importance
Collation of retrospective information on-site and analysis of particulars to collate multi-million dollar dispute claims for the Client, maximising their entitlement available to them given the Contract's provisions and circumstances of the events pertaining to said claims.
Align Client's existing processes to a newly implemented Project Control's software. Design and implement effective dashboards to communicate project performance at an executive level. Monitor and critique on-site performance through the means of regular progress measures. Provide detailed, visual take-offs of E&I Scopes of Works. Also engaged to perform sub-contractor claim assessments and payments.
Commercial Management for a $50m Sub Contract including scope remeasurement, contractual correspondance, variation management, re-tendering, client negotiation and cost control.
Commercial management and change co-ordination on Multi Billion Dollar Airport expansion project; including the detailed forecasting of a $150M Staff and Professional Services budget and commercial management of over 30 subcontract and consultant accounts.
Undertaking Tendering, Estimating, day to day management and final accounting of various projects from new-build building works, to office refurbishment and fitout projects, to airport smoking lounges, underground tunnel linings, hotel pre-fabrication an en-situe construction and framework package tendering.
